My husband has an affinity for hammers and magazines like “Fine Cabinet Making.” Mostly I find this charmingly useful. Sometimes it’s also accidentally hilarious. For example:
At dinner he’ll say stuff like, “So. The history of pen knives is actually really interesting. Wikipedia says that…”

Though to be fair, I don’t actually know the history of the pen knife. It could very well be more gripping than everything about that lead in suggests… Optimism is my new thing.
