Tonight I’m going to try something new.
Usually I blog late at night after everyone else goes to bed but tonight I’m dead on my feet at 7.32p. This has been the case every Saturday for the past few weeks. I’m going to make peace with the fact that proper blogging is just not going to happen on nights like this.
Instead I’m going to link you up to some of the articles and e-things I’ve been thinking about this week. That way even though I’m doomed to spend the evening a hair’s breadth away from comatose you might still be entertained.
Here are some links worth clicking:
Vanity Fair’s take on the insane implications of the gun laws that resulted in the acquittal of Ezekiel Gilbert in Texas. Because something is messed. up. when it’s legal to shoot a woman you mistook for a prostitute because you did not receive the illegal sex you felt you were entitled to. (Shout out to Ashley at Zebra Garden for pointing this article out.)
A bomb-ass blackberry bourbon cocktail recipe from Thug Kitchen. If you haven’t yet discovered this site you’re missing out on some healthy cuisine that will punch you in the fucking face, son.
An older Pajiba article that nails exactly what annoys the hell out of me about Tom Cruise.
And last, but certainly not least, David Tennant and the cast of Doctor Who lip syncing to The Proclaimer’s “500 miles.” Yes, it’s from 2010. No, I don’t care. Every time I watch this I smile so hard my face hurts.
What have you found that’s worth clicking this week?
